16/365 - January 16, 2009 - Baby in Cloth

16/365 Baby Got Cloth

Here's a secret - I think I was so amenable to cloth diapering the kids because really, aren't these totally rad? But of course she's not even big enough to fit into her goodmama diapers I have stashed away for her, and once Matthew's done with his*, she'll inherit even more luscious organic bamboo velour for her tush.

Yeah, kind of obsessed, here.

*Matthew has pooed in the potty! Baby steps. I keep telling myself I won't send him to college in diapers.

15/365 Baba and Baby

Josh spends some time with his little girl, who seems intent on eating his face.

14/365 - January 14, 2009 - oh, snap

14/365: Not again

Lindsey is going to prove a formidable match to His Royal Highness, Matthew.

13/365 - January 13, 2009 - Crybaby?

13/365: It's my bathtime

First bath, nearly 3 weeks after she was born. Don't judge, babies don't do much to get dirty!

12/365 - January 12, 2009 - Engulfed

12/365: baby

I never thought I would have a baby quite so tiny. At 36 weeks, she was estimated to be 7 lbs and 2.5 oz - and ended up being born 3 weeks later at 6 lbs and 11 oz - so definitely off. Then she ended up losing quite a bit of her weight before finally making it back up to her birth weight. So tiny.

11/365 - January 11, 2009 - You Stole My Laptop

11/365 YOU STOLE MY LAPTOP

We live on the edge of Berkeley and Oakland and on our walks about town it is not uncommon to see all sorts of signs and ads. This poor person lost their laptop and seems still fairly optimistic (or is that a whiff of desperation?) that the thief will contact them about his lost files.

10/365 - January 10, 2009 - got your finger

10/365: Gary can haz finger

Gary and Kathy, Josh's parents, have been in town since the early part of December, to await the perhaps spontaneous arrival of their granddaughter, who ended up not spontaneously arriving and needing to be prodded and poked out. Matthew is absolutely in love with his grandpa. They have become fast friends, with Matthew taking the opportunity to beat him up and play silly games ("Let's go downstairs and turn the lights on and off!"). I suspect Matthew will be quite distraught to realize that they won't be here forever.
